Barbara Principe was the embodiment of selfless strength, a proud Italian American of Neapolitan descent, a successful businesswoman, and a lifelong advocate for healthcare and community causes. Her leadership, compassion, and resilience defined a life devoted to lifting others up.

After battling Parkinson’s, ovarian cancer, and undergoing open-heart surgery in the early 2000s, Barbara refused to be defined by illness. In 2003, she founded Barbara’s Team of Hope to raise awareness and funds for early detection and research into the diseases that challenged her.

What began as a personal mission became a powerful movement, raising over $1 million to support causes like the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the Brian Moore Memorial Fund, and many others.​
